25. Houston Rockets: P.J. Hairston (SG, North Carolina)

Houston is speculated to decline the fourth-year option on small forward Chandler Parsons (16.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg in 2013-14), which would make him a restricted free agent. With Parsons' spot on the team uncertain for next season, the Rockets could add a 6-5 sharpshooting swingman in Hairston of the D-League's Texas Legends. Heading into his junior season at North Carolina, Hairston got into legal trouble and was suspended indefinitely from playing in late July 2013. UNC ultimately declined to apply for his reinstatement with the NCAA and Hairston left the team. In January, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks D-League affiliated Legends and averaged 21.6 points per game while shooting 36 percent from 3-point range in 26 games with the team. No D-League player has ever been drafted in the first round, but Hairston could be the first.
