Minutes before the start of their game against the Atlanta Falcons at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, the Ravens saluted the Orioles with a video tribute and then introduced manager Buck Showalter on the field to a loud ovation.

Showalter doffed his cap and patted his heart as he acknowledged the cheering multitude. He was joined on the sideline by Orioles vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson.

The Ravens faithful, of course, is -- for the most part -- also the Orioles faithful, so it was really the first time that Baltimore sports fans got a chance to cheer the Orioles en masse since they were dismissed from the playoffs Wednesday by the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

The fans also delivered a particularly rousing "O!" during the national anthem.
