No. 19 Navy has earned the top seed and home-field advantage in the Patriot League tournament.
The Midshipmen (8-4) did not play Friday night but received the No. 1 seed with their 6-2 record in league play. Although Colgate (8-4) also went 6-2, finishing with an 8-5 victory Friday at No. 18 Army, Navy's 7-6 road win over the Raiders on March 21 gave it the tiebreaker.
The Midshipmen will host the league tournament semifinals at 4:30 p.m and 7:30 p.m. Friday and the title game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Navy and Colgate will have first-round byes. The Midshipmen will face the lowest remaining seed in the semifinals.
Entering Friday's contests, No. 17 Loyola Maryland (7-7, 5-3) could have captured the No. 1 seed with a victory at Bucknell, but it fell Friday in overtime, 10-9. The Greyhounds slid to the No. 4 seed and will host Army (8-5, 4-4) at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Bucknell (8-5, 5-3) is the No. 3 seed and will host Lehigh (7-8, 3-5) on Tuesday.
