Michael Phelps enjoyed Thanksgiving surrounded by his family and an old friend, former Miss California Nicole Johnson, who Phelps reportedly dated off and on for about three years before ending it in 2012.

Phelps, sporting a full beard, posted a photo on his Instagram account Thursday (above) showing his family (mom, sisters, etc.) around the table, with Johnson seated next to him.

The winner of a record 18 Olympic gold medals, Phelps entered a six-week in-house treatment program after being arrested for drunk driving and excessive speeding outside of the Fort McHenry Tunnel in late September.

Phelps is out of the program and back in the pool, according to an official from the North Baltimore Aquatic Center, who was interviewed after last week's Golden Goggles Awards in New York City. He is contemplating competing in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Phelps' trial for drunken-driving charges was postponed from Nov. 19 until Dec. 19 at the request of the swimmer's attorney.

Phelps, 29, was charged with DUI, excessive speed and crossing double lane lines after being clocked going 84 mph in a 45-mph zone on Sept. 30, Maryland Transit Authority Police said. His blood-alcohol level was 0.14 percent, and he failed field sobriety tests, police said.
