Maryland's men's lacrosse team had to travel to the West Coast this weekend to face an old ACC foe, but the result was familiar for the No. 5 Terps.
Playing late Saturday night in the Pacific Coast Shootout in Santa Ana, Calif., Maryland handed No. 2 North Carolina its first loss of the season, 10-8. It was the 64th time the teams have met and the Terps have won 40 times.

The Terps (6-1) broke open a 2-2 game by scoring five straight goals to take a 7-2 lead. LoCascio and Colin Heacock combined for the five goals.
