Maryland-based City of Gods falls in semifinals of The Basketball Tournament

For the second straight year, Maryland-based City of Gods lost to Overseas Elite in the semifinals of The Basketball Tournament, falling to the winner-take-all event's defending champions, 103-92, Saturday night at Fordham's Rose Hill Gymnasium in New York.

Former Arizona guard Kyle Fogg scored a tournament-record 42 points to lead Overseas Elite into Tuesday's final against Team Colorado, which will be broadcast on ESPN at 7 p.m.

Fogg helped erase a 15-point deficit in the first half Saturday to tie the game at halftime, then helped his team lead by as many as 21 points in the second half.

City of Gods, coached by Baltimore's Joe Connelly, defeated The Untouchables, 86-79, on Saturday in Philadelphia to reach the semifinals.

The winner of the tournament will split $2 million in prize money, double last year's payoff.
