Kansas City council renames Baltimore Avenue during postseason

The city of Kansas City can't do anything if Baltimore fans come to the heartland for the middle three games of the American League Championship, but if they do, they won't be able to find the street formerly known as Baltimore Avenue.

For the duration of the playoffs, the Kansas City street was renamed Royals Avenue so as not to give any recognition to the opposing team, I suppose.

According to MLB Fan Cave, a resident of Baltimore Avenue tweeted the mayor of Kansas City, Sly James, that suggested something had to be done about the street name during the ALCS. James tweeted back that he would see what he can do, and

Then a councilman named Dick Davis introduced a resolution to the Kansas City council, and they voted and passed it and chanted "Let's Go Royals." So there you go.
