The Maryland men's lacrosse team has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, according to Inside Lacrosse's September issue, which ranks the top 20 classes.
The Terps class is anchored by two recruits rated in the top five of Inside Lacrosse's Power 100: No. 2 Matt Rambo, an attackman from La Salle College High in Wyndmoor, Pa., and No. 3 Tim Rotanz, an attackman from Shoreham-Wading River in Shoreham, N.Y. In all, the class has nine Power 100 recruits.
Maryland was followed at No. 2 by Syracuse, which has No. 1-ranked recruit Jordan Evans.
On the women's side, defending national champion North Carolina's recruiting class received top billing. The No. 1 recruit is Notre Dame's Cortney Fortunato, whom Inside Lacrosse calls "one of the most highly touted recruits of all time."
