Justin Forsett, Torrey Smith both active for Ravens against Dolphins

Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith will play Sunday, but how limited will he be?

As expected, two of the Ravens’ top playmakers are active and will play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins in a game with key AFC playoff implications.

Running back Justin Forsett (knee) and wide receiver Torrey Smith (knee), who both sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning to the field Friday, are active and expected to start. Smith, however, didn’t look comfortable in pregame warmups, running a couple routes with an obvious limp before standing off to the side.

Cornerback Asa Jackson, who was activated Saturday from injured reserve with a designation to return after missing seven games with a toe injury, is also expected to play a significant role in the Ravens’ secondary. Nose tackle Terrence Cody is active and will play his first game of the season after coming back from hip surgery.

Wide receiver Marlon Brown (concussion), center Jeremy Zuttah (ankle) and linebackers C.J. Mosley (wrist), Courtney Upshaw (hand) and Albert McClellan (thigh) also are all active despite being on the injury report all week.

Rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro (River Hill) is inactive for a fifth straight game as he tries to return from a hamstring injury. The other inactive Ravens are tight end Crockett Gillmore (back), offensive linemen Jah Reid and Gino Gradkowski, defensive lineman DeAngelo Tyson, cornerback Rashaan Melvin and safety Terrence Brooks.

With Gillmore sidelined, Philllip Supernaw, who returned to the organization this week, will dress as the second tight end behind starter Owen Daniels.

Timmy Jernigan is expected to start at defensive tackle with Haloti Ngata suspended. Lawrence Guy will also factor in the Ravens’ defensive line rotation.

Linebacker Arthur Brown is active for just the third time all season.

For the Dolphins, running back LaMichael James, guards Nate Garner and Billy Turner, linebackers Jonathan Freeny and Chris McCain and cornerbacks Cortland Finnegan and Jamar Taylor are inactive.
