By the numbers: 2015 schedule for McDaniel men's lacrosse

McDaniel has released its schedule for the 2015 season. Here is a breakdown of what awaits the Green Terror, who went 6-9 last year and finished sixth in the Centennial Conference with a 3-5 record.

10: McDaniel has reached the 10-win mark just twice, but both achievements occurred during coach Matt Hatton's tenure. The 2012 team won 11 games, while the 2009 squad won 10.

9: The Green Terror could return as many as nine starters. And they also could welcome back their starting long-stick midfielder (sophomore Emmett Turley) and two starting short-stick defensive midfielders (seniors Kevin Nicholas and Ryan Weiss) from last season.

8: McDaniel is scheduled to play eight road games during the regular season. It matches a program high set in 2003 and tied in 2004, 2008 and 2012.

7: For the seventh time since 2006, the Green Terror's longest stretch of consecutive road games will be three. The team will visit Ferrum, Frostburg State and Washington College on March 14, 18 and 21, respectively.

6: McDaniel could return as many as six players who scored at least 10 goals each last spring. Three players -- senior attackman Patrick Serio, senior midfielder Sean Brett and sophomore attackman Timothy McNichol -- each recorded 20 goals or more.

5: For the second straight year, the Green Terror will play five midweek games in the spring. The season low for midweek games is four set in 2002 and 2012.

4: McDaniel will face four teams that played in last spring's NCAA tournament. The program will open with games against Mary Washington on Feb. 21, Eastern on Feb. 25, and York on Feb. 28 and then take on reigning Centennial Conference champion Washington College.

3: Hatton ranks third on the Green Terror's all-time list of coaching wins with 58. He trails Mike Williams by 12 victories.

2: For only the second time in the past five years, McDaniel will not end the regular season with a game against conference rival Gettysburg. The team's season finale in 2015 is against Ursinus on April 25 at Gill Stadium.

1: The Green Terror graduated just one starter. But finding a replacement for goalkeeper Christian Dallmus, who started 47 of 60 games during his four-year career, figures to be a significant priority for Hatton.
