Frostburg State men's lacrosse 2015 schedule by the numbers

Frostburg State has released its schedule for the 2015 season. Here is a breakdown of the slate that awaits the Bobcats, who went 13-5 last year and finished fourth in the Capital Athletic Conference with a 4-3 record.

10: Frostburg State is scheduled to host 10 games at Bobcat Stadium in Frostburg. The number of home games matches a program high set in 2013.

9: The Bobcats could welcome back as many as seven players who scored at least nine goals last spring. Five of those players scored at least 21 goals.

8: Frostburg State is scheduled to play four games in a span of eight days. The team will tangle with Washington College on March 7, Illinois Wesleyan on March 9, Lycoming on March 11, and Marymount on March 14.

7: After dealing with seven opponents in the Capital Athletic Conference last spring, the Bobcats will face eight this season. Southern Virginia joins the league as a full member.

6: Frostburg State is scheduled to end the 2015 season with six straight games against conference opponents. The program high is seven, which capped the 2012 season.

5: The Bobcats could return as many as five starters from 2014. That group could include senior attackman Devin Colegrove, who led the team in points (62), and junior attackman Spenser Love, who ranked second in goals (35).

4: Frostburg State will face four opponents that qualified for last spring's NCAA tournament. The program will play host to reigning Centennial Conference titlist Washington College, visit CAC rival York on April 4, and then welcome reigning league champion Salisbury and conference foe Mary Washington on April 11 and 15, respectively.

3: For the third time in four years, the Bobcats will take to the road for seven games. The seven away contests are a single-season low for the program.

2: For the second time in three years, Frostburg State will play host to four consecutive games when McDaniel, Wesley, St. Vincent and Christopher Newport visit between March 18 and 28. The program was scheduled to play four straight contests at home in 2013, but the first game against Southern Virginia on March 6 was canceled because of inclement weather.

1: Of the five starters who graduated, the Bobcats may be hard-pressed to replace the one starter in the net. The void created by the departure of goalkeeper Tyler Haines, who started 61 of 74 games during his four-year career, could be filled by juniors Tom Kraemer or Taylor Schmitz this spring.
