The All-America keeper played the key role in leading Salisbury (23-0) to the Division III national championship last weekend. The tournament's Most Outstanding Player, Wheatley stopped nine shots in the title game, a 12-5 victory over Trinity (Conn.) that avenged the Sea Gulls' loss to the Bantams in the 2012 final. She also had 12 saves in the 8-7 semifinal victory over Middlebury. Wheatley, the 2012 Division III Goalie of the Year, finished the season with a 5.59 goals-against average and a .559 save percentage.
