The Bowie Baysox on Monday unveiled what's surely going to be one of the coolest minor league baseball promotions this year.

On Sunday, July 19, the Orioles' Double-A affiliate is giving away a bobblehead of Babe Ruth in a 1914 Baltimore Orioles minor league uniform, his first professional team, to the first 1,000 fans 13-and-older.

It's the first Ruth bobblehead of its kind, depicting Ruth in the road gray uniform with a white and blue "B" patch on its sleeve.

Ruth was sold later in 1914 to the Boston Red Sox, who later sold him to the New York Yankees and watched with dismay as he became the best hitter in the world.

The bobblehead was made in partnership with the Babe Ruth Birthplace & Museum, which was recently renovated and reopened last month.

That Sunday will also be the second annual Orioles Pride Day, with the Baysox wearing Orioles jerseys for the 1 p.m. contest against the Harrisburg Senators at Prince George's Stadium.
