Towson's upset of Georgetown over the weekend gave the Tigers the biggest boost in this week's Brine Inside Lacrosse Division I Women's Media Top 20 as they moved up five spots to No. 14.

In a big week for Division I teams in the state, Maryland remained No. 2 while Loyola, Navy and Johns Hopkins are also on the rise. All five are undefeated.

Towson scored perhaps the biggest win of the week, knocking off previous No. 9 Georgetown, 14-10. The win avenged last year's 13-10 loss to the Hoyas and was the first time the Tigers (2-0) had beaten a team that highly ranked in nearly three years. Goalie Kelsea Donnelly (South River) had a career-high 14 saves in the victory while Andi Raymond, coming off a redshirt season for a back injury, had four goals and three assists.

No. 9 Loyola (2-0) jumped one spot after a 15-10 win over then-No. 17 Princeton. Marlee Paton scored all three of her goals in the first 13 minutes to help give the Greyhounds a 4-1 jump on the Tigers. Annie Thomas (John Carroll) led the Greyhounds with three goals and two assists while Molly Wolf (Bryn Mawr) had 11 saves.

Maryland's 14-7 win at Penn State kept the Terps (4-0) firmly in the No. 2 spot behind defending national champion North Carolina (4-0) and ahead of No. 3 Syracuse (4-0). Brooke Griffin (South River) matched Penn State's goal total and added an assist for an eight-point outing. First-year starting goalie Abbey Clipp made 21 saves, just three shy of the Terps recrod set by Denise Wescott in 1977.

No. 11 Navy continued to roll with its fourth win of the season, 14-5 over Davidson in Annapolis. Loren Generi had five goals and four assists as the Midshipmen outshot Davidson, 30-8.

Johns Hopkins (3-0), which had been receiving votes, cracked the poll for the first time this season at No. 20 after a 19-7 win over Bucknell. Taylor D'Amore had four goals and four assists and became the eighth player in the history of the Blue Jays' Division I program to score 100 career goals.
