18. Phoenix Suns: Elfrid Payton (PG, Louisiana-Lafayette)

Payton averaged 19.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the Ragin' Cajuns last season. Granted, the Sun Belt isn't necessarily a powerhouse basketball conference, but Payton consistently did his thing all year. Payton has a quick first step and the ability to create off the dribble, which makes him an extremely tough cover. Payton could serve as a backup to emerging star Goran Dragic. He's the son of Elfrid Payton, the former Baltimore Stallions CFL star.
