Everybody was talking before the game about the sub-freezing wind chill factor and the blustery wind that seemed to go in both directions at once, but that apparently was just what the weatherman ordered for the Ravens.
They have made a habit over the years of playing well in dicey conditions, so it should come as no surprise that they seemed fairly comfortable throughout the game.
Joe Flacco couldn't get much done in the red zone, but he did complete a long touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones and rolled up pretty good overall numbers. Kicker Justin Tucker also shrugged off the wind with a 4-for-4 performance in field goals that accounted for the Ravens' first four scores.
Still, much of the credit for this "must" win goes to the Ravens defense, which reminded everyone of the Rex Ryan era in Baltimore while they were giving Ryan and the Jets offense a 60-minute headache. It didn't hurt that the Jets showed why they are ranked dead last in the NFL in turnover ratio.
Pray for snow.
