Kegasus, the lovable centaur who hosted last year's Preakness InfieldFest, has been reported missing by the Maryland Jockey Club, and there is speculation that his disappearance is an inside job.
The well-designed new Facebook site devoted to the battle among several mythical creatures to replace Kegasus seems to point to that, though the Jockey Club has disavowed any official connection to it.
In short, there is more intrigue here than the Orioles scouting strategy in South Korea. Something is definitely up and I'm on the case. I don't believe Kegasus is missing at all. I think he's conveniently out of sight and the social media campaign is a great way to raise awareness of him and allow for some kind of marketing campaign to either keep him or name a replacement.
In the meantime, I've got two theories on where he is. He's either on location doing stunt double work for Danny McBride and the new season of "East Bound and Down" or he has learned to walk backwards and is impersonating one of the presidential candidates.
