Orioles respond to my concession speech

Peter Schmuck is a great guy who eats way too much candy. If you see him at the ballpark, please do not try to feed him. (M&Ms)

If you're a regular reader of The Schmuck Stops Here, and who isn't these days, you probably read my one complaint about the Orioles' now-complete spring training facility in Sarasota, Fla. I was understandably disappointed when I realized that the Orioles had failed to include my favorite candy -- Peanut M&Ms -- on its concession menu.

Well, talk about sweet surrender. Orioles director of Florida operations Laura Williams heard my plea and added two kinds of M&Ms at the ballpark's concession stands, making the facility just about perfect. Laura also delivered a one-pound bag of the tasty candy-and-chocolate-covered peanuts to my seat in the press box on Thursday.

Talk about fan accommodation. The only thing that would make the ballpark experience better would be the addition of a Ruth's Chris filet mignon stand on the main concourse and an ATM that dispenses free cash in the press box.
