For the record, the NCAA men's basketball tournament is my white whale, but this might be the earliest that I've watched every one of my brackets go up in smoke. I'm probably not alone, following the shocking exits of Duke and Missouri, but you'd think I'd still have something working at this point.
Nope. My West Coast bias showed in attempt to turn Long Beach State into a sleeper and San Diego State into an Elite Eight team. My lack of basketball acumen showed just about everywhere else. And, mind you, we're not talking about one bracket. They're plastered all over my living room. I'm going to have to steam them off like wallpaper.
Of course, the Duke upset was easy to swallow, even though I had the Blue Devils in at least one Final Four. But I was very disappointed with Mizzou, especially since my ancestral hometown on my father's side is St. Louis.
I guess I could go looking for a Sweet 16 pool, but what's the point? I truly stink at this.
