The big lead

The Orioles were fortunate to find the Angels still in a downdraft and very easily could have swept the series. They held a two-run lead late in Wednesday's game before the Angels rallied for six runs against Pedro Strop, above. The big rally erupted after a sharp come-backer that might have led to a double play bounced just high enough to glance off Strop's glove and evade capture until the Angels loaded the bases with no one out. Things got ugly from there, but there's no reason to curse the fates. The key rally that led to the Orioles' win Tuesday night started with three-straight two-out infield hits. What goes around really does come around sometimes.
