The Chartley Homeowners Association and Boy Scout Troop #143 participated in Project Clean Stream, sponsored by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and Irvine Nature Center, April 11. Student recognized for impact on campus

Michael Ogunyemi, of Owings Mills, was among 130 students recognized by Lebanon Valley College, in Annville, Pa., at the school's Celebration of Student Success reception April 7. Honorees at the event were recognized for making an impact on the campus as new students. Ogunyemi, a graduate of New Town High School in Owings Mills, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in digital communications.

Residents inducted into Phi Kappa Phi

The following area residents were recently inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor society for all academic disciplines: Deepti Agrawal, of Owings Mills, initiated at Hood College; Cecile Perich, of Reisterstown, initiated at Indiana University of Pennsylvania; Ameera Davis, of Owings Mills, initiated at North Carolina A&T State University; Rubin Waranch, of Owings Mills, initiated into the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campuses chapter; Nicholas Rogers, of Owings Mills, initiated into the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campuses chapter; Brittany White, of Reisterstown, initiated into the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campuses chapter; and Rebecca Yatovitz, of Owings Mills, initiated at University of Maryland, College Park.

Elizabeth Quinn, from Reisterstown, was recently awarded the Honors College Scholarship and the Mary Slokum-Sproul Prizes at Millersville University, in Millersville, Pa. The awards were bestowed at the university's 57th annual Undergraduate Honors and Awards Convocation April 25.
