JCS to hold annual meeting

Jewish Community Services is holding its seventh annual meeting, "Connecting," at the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts at 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue in Owings Mills, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. June 16.

A reception with light refreshments will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The evening will include remarks by Harriet Berg, outgoing president, and election of officers and directors to the JCS board of directors.

The event is free and open to the public.

Har Sinai Congregation to hold Shabbat Rocks!

Har Sinai Congregation, at 2905 Walnut Ave. in Owings Mills, is holding Shabbat Rocks!, a musical Shabbat experience designed for all ages, followed by a family Shabbat dinner, June 12.

The event will feature the congregation's in-house rock band Chai-Jinx.

The service will take place at 6:15 p.m., with dinner starting at 7:30 p.m.

The service is free; the dinner is $18 for adults and $10 for children.

Church accepting applications for summer programs

Northwest Baptist Church of Reisterstown, at 300 Westminster Pike, is holding three camps for children this summer.

The Mega Sports and Arts Bible Camp Day Program, for elementary-school-aged children, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 22 through 26.

The Mega Sports and Arts Bible Camp Evening Program will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 28 through July 2. Both will be held at the church.

Areas of study include sports, art, dance, photography or theatre.

The Middle School Guys Basketball Camp — Middle School Madness — for boys entering grades seven through nine, will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 28 through July 2. It will take place at Franklin Middle School, at 10 Cockeys Mill Road in Reisterstown.

All three camps are free. Space is limited.
