JCS to hold charity event, programs
Jewish Community Services is holding a Toy Drive Drop-off Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16. Those who wish to contribute are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys, books, crafts and gift cards in amounts of $10 or less to the JCS office at 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. in Owings Mills. In addition to this drop-off day, JCS also welcomes donations in the weeks before Chanukah, which begins Dec. 16, and all year round. Donations may be brought on weekdays either to the office at 5750 Park Heights Ave. or to the Owings Mills location. Jewish Legal Services, a program of Jewish Community Services (JCS), is holding a walk-in legal clinic from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. The classes offer legal information and advice for Jewish individuals of limited financial means. Each clinic will take place at the JCS office at 5750 Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore. Jewish Community Services will host the lecture, "Protecting Our Children in a Technology Driven World," led by Department Detective of BCPD Crimes Against Children Dana Kaczynski, Oct. 27. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the JCS Owings Mills office at 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue. It is open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
