Har Sinai Congregation names youth engagement coordinator
Har Sinai Congregation in Owings Mills has announced the appointment of Aaron Klaus to the position of youth engagement coordinator. As part of the new position, Klaus' responsibilities will include leading social, educational and religious activities for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade at the synagogue, overseeing the congregation's madrichim student leadership program, and teaching music in the religious school.
Klaus was formerly employed at Temple Micah in Washington, D.C. as a religious school teacher, Hebrew tutor and song leader. He also previously worked as a counselor and song leader for fourth through sixth grade students at the Union for Reform Judaism's Eisner Camp.
A graduate of Oberlin College with degrees in physics and trumpet performance, Klaus is currently pursuing a Master of Music in trumpet performance and a certificate in music education at Towson University.
