Charlotte R. Gomprecht, of Owings Mills, enrolled at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, this fall. A graduate of Mcdonogh School, Gomprecht is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Gomprecht.

Michael O'Neal, of Owings Mills, a freshman enrolled at Youngstown State University, is among more than 1,200 students awarded scholarships for academic excellence for the fall 2016 semester. O'Neal, who is majoring in STEM First Year Engineering at YSU, received the Trailblazer Scholarship.

Cameron Frank, of Reisterstown, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from Grinnell College, in Iowa, May 23.

Max Gold, the son of Leigh Vinocur of Owings Mills, and David L. Gold, of Reisterstown, has been named a Dana Scholar, the highest honor bestowed upon first-year students at Bates College, in Lewiston, Maine. Gold was one of 10 men and 10 women from the Class of 2019 honored on the basis of leadership potential, academic excellence and promise, and service to the college community. Selected students earned an average GPA of 3.87, made varied and meaningful extracurricular contributions and submitted thoughtful essays in support of their candidacy. Gold is majoring in English and physics.
