Thursday, May 7: From 1 to 2 p.m., a dementia caregivers support group will be held.
From 1 to 2:30 p.m., a birthday party and dance, with music by Johnny Walker, will take place. The event will feature dancing, snacks, cake and beverages.
Friday, May 8: At noon, enjoy a Mother's Day celebration special lunch, which will include stuffed chicken, cranberry salsa, kale, corn bread and mixed fruit compote. To participate, individuals must have signed up at the eating together counter by May 1. A $2.50 donation is requested at the time of the meal.
From 1 to 2:30 p.m., Karaoke with Kathy will be held.
Tuesday, May 12: At 11 a.m., Susan Parks will present "Secrets to Living a Stress Free Life."
Wednesday, May 13: From 9:30 to 11 a.m., a nurse from FutureCare Cherrywood will be by to take residents' blood pressures.
Thursday, May 14: At 1 p.m., the presentation "Spin into a Healther Lifestyle" will take place.
Friday, May 15: The center's Spring Splash of Fashions fundraiser will be held. At 11:30 a.m., a ladies lunch of sweet corn chowder, egg salad and chicken salad on croissants, pasta salads and dessert will be served. The cost is $7, and interested individuals must pay at the welcome desk by May 8. Raffles for gift certificates to be spent on apparel in the fashion show will be held. At 12:45 p.m., a live fashion show with clothing from TaylorMarie's Apparel will take place. Models will be members of the center. A portion of the sales will be donated to the center.
