Police Blotter

Baltimore County police in the Franklin precinct recently recorded the following reported incidents, among others, in the Owings Mills and greater Reisterstown communities. Anyone with information regarding these incidents may call the Franklin precinct at 410-887-6975.

Dirt Bike Stolen


Sometime between July 13 and 14, police said someone stole a dirt bike from the fenced-in yard of a residence on the 100 block of Chestnut Hill Lane in Owings Mills.

Attempted Burglary


On July 21, police said two individuals were in the bedroom of a residence on the unit block of Trolod Court in Owings Mills when they heard a noise coming from the window. When they opened the blinds, they observed someone trying to force open their window. The suspect fled on foot toward Reisterstown Road.

Mountain Bikes Stolen

Police said that July 21, a victim said she and another individual left two mountain bikes on the balcony of their apartment on the unit block of Chestnut Hill Lane in Reisterstown. When she returned home the following day, she found the bikes had been stolen.

Lawn Equipment Stolen

Sometime between July 17 and 18, police said an unknown subject entered a location on the 200 block of Cockeys Mill Road in Reisterstown and stole lawn equipment from a vehicle by prying open the side panel doors.

Property Stolen

Police said July 22, a suspect entered a residence on the 100 block of Pleasant Hill Road in Owings Mills by pushing in a window air conditioning unit. The individual stole jewelry and electronic equipment from the residence before leaving through the same window through which entry was made.

Assault at Gas Station

On July 19, police said one woman stabbed another during an altercation at the BP gas station at 9610 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. Both women were transported to Sinai Hospital.


Police said July 20, a victim reported that someone stole money from her purse and assaulted her before throwing her out of a moving vehicle while on Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown. The victim did not cooperate with authorities and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Attempted Homicide


On July 20, police said they responded to a stabbing on the 4000 block of Riverstone Drive in Owings Mills. The victim at the residence had been stabbed in his lower abdomen and was transported to Shock Trauma.

Robbery at Home Depot

Police said on July 21, a victim was working at a cash register in the outside home and garden area of the Home Depot on 9818 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills when she was approached by a suspect. The suspect implied he had a gun, pushed her out of the booth and stated "This is a robbery." While the victim ran to the back of the store, the suspect removed approximately $1,000 from the cash register before fleeing in a vehicle.
