Glyndon resident appointed interim director of new bladder cancer institute

The established Johns Hopkins Greenberg Bladder Cancer Insitute, believed to be the first institute exclusively dedicated to bladder cancer, has announced the appointment of Glyndon resident Dr. William B. Isaacs as interim director. In the new position, Isaacs will work to raise awareness about bladder cancer, enhance patient care through grants, gain funding for the Institute and find a permanent director. In addition to his role as interim director, he will continue his work as professor of urology and oncology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and as the William Thomas Gerrard, Mario Anthony Duhon and Jennifer and John Chalsty Professor of Urology.
