"Assassin's Game" by Ward Larsen
A former Mossad agent is living a suburban dream in Virginia, but "every time he thinks he's out, they pull him back in." This is a sequel to Larsen's earlier "Perfect Assassin." Also available in e-book.
"Doctors Without Borders" by Renee C. Fox
This humanitarian agency is both a medical group and a social work group with a bit of politics thrown in. Fox is a medical sociologist, and her work will appeal most to those with interest in global humanitarian actions.
"An Italian Wife" by Ann Hood
This historical, multigenerational saga starts with the life of an 8-year-old girl in an Italian village and travels on through her life as an American immigrant, wife, mother and centenarian. Also available in audiobook.
"Kill My Mother" by Jules Feiffer
Feiffer has won a Pulitzer Prize for his work as a cartoonist. In his second graphic novel, Feiffer has created a comic noir about a teenage girl who uncovers a slew of colorful characters while working in an office and trying to figure out if she can kill her inattentive mother.
