Newest titles at the BCPL

The following fiction and nonfiction titles will be available at Baltimore County Public Library as of April 12.

"The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook"


A fun cookbook has mystery writers sharing recipes and even ways to use food as a weapon. All the big authors are represented, from Harlan Coben to Gillian Flynn to Louise Penny and more.

"The Only Ones" by Carola Dibbell

In this dystopian novel, fertility has been compromised and Inez is serving as a "baby carrier" for those who can pay. Dibbell is a former rock critic and this is her first novel.

"The World Before Us" by Aislinn Hunter

As a teenager, Jane lost the young child she was babysitting in a spooky English woodland. Twenty years later, Jane is an archivist and comes across the story of an asylum inmate who disappeared in the same woods in the 1870s. Hunter's novel is both spooky and literary. Also available on audiobook.

"So You've Been Publicly Shamed" by Jon Ronson

Ronson uses thought-provoking humor to investigate our modern day witch hunt, made ever so easy by online anonymity. Also available on e-book.
