Explore the myths, legends and art of ancient Ireland as author Maggie D. Brace delves into the character of Finn MacCool, the Irish folk hero from her new book, at 2 p.m. She will read short exceprts and discuss them. Book sales and signings will be available.

Sunday, June 26: "Baby Beats! with Max and Root." For ages 2 to 5 with an adult. Musicians and Young Audience's teaching artists Jamaal "Black Root" Collier and Max Bent will host this live music and movement program at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, June 29: "Baby Story Time." Connect with your baby through stories, rhymes, bounces and songs, followed by a play time, at 10 a.m. Registration required.

"Preschool Story Time." Interact with your preschooler by enjoying stories, songs and activities together at 11 a.m.

"Coding from Scratch." For ages 10 to 15. Learn to code using the Scratch programming language. This program will be held over the course of six weeks. Saturday, July 2: "Maker Camp." Join the library to make cool creations at 2 p.m. every Saturday for six weeks during the summer. Registration is required.

Wednesday, June 29: "Wednesdays at 7: Raising Problem-Solving, Self-Reliant Children." Join the library every Wednesday at 7 p.m. this summer for a program for adults. This week, Rachael Abrams, a parent outreach specialist at Jewish Community Services, will present a lecture on how to strike a perfect balance between protecting your child and giving them their independence. The program is presented in collaboration with JCS.
