"Spectrum." For teens. Chat, create and collaborate with library staff members about diversity in books, film, culture and community, at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 8: "Baby Story Time." Connect with your baby through stories, rhymes, bounces and songs, followed by a play time, at 10 a.m. Registration required.

"Preschool Story Time." Interact with your preschooler by enjoying stories, songs and activities together at 11 a.m.

Wednesday, June 1: "Wednesdays at 7: Making Hummus." For adults. Join the library every Wednesday during the summer for programs for adults. This week, Relay Foods will show participants how to make basic hummus and add their own flavors. The class will be held at 7 p.m. and will include a question and answer session.

Sunday, June 5: "Small Wonders." Recommended for grades K through 5. Stop by the Small Wonders table at the Nano exhibit at 2 p.m. for hands-on experiments, demonstrations and crafts. Presented by Port Discovery Children's Museum.

"First Tuesday Book Club." For adults. Join the library for a discussion of "A Spool of Blue Thread," by Anne Tyler, at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 8: "Wednesdays at 7: Personal Finances." For adults. This week's program, part of a series held every Wednesday this summer for adults, will feature a presentation on personal financial education by Michael Elonge, of University of Maryland Extension. Topics covered will include budgeting to save and invest, becoming debt sovereign, and reviewing your financial decision-making regarding income.
