County holds live Christmas tree collection

Baltimore County will hold a two-week-long collection of live Christmas trees for recycling beginning Jan. 12. Residents must have their trees ready to be picked up on the curb no later than Jan. 17 to ensure retrieval. To have their trees picked up, residents must set out only live, undecorated trees on the front curb or street; trees in alleys will not be taken. Recycled trees will be turned into mulch for later use. Residents who would like to personally drop off their trees may bring them to one of the county's three drop-off locations beginning Dec. 26. For directions to such locations, visit http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/solidwaste or call the Bureau of Solid Waste Management at 410-887-2000.
