Baltimore Humane Society to hold fundraiser

The Baltimore Humane Society is holding Catsino Night, an event to raise funds for animals cared for at the no-kill shelter, Nov. 15. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and will include games such as blackjack, roulette and craps, as well as a silent auction, an open bar, entertainment and appetizers. Individuals interested in attending must purchase tickets no later than Nov. 13. Standard tickets are $100 and VIP tickets are $150. VIP tickets will get participants increased gaming chips, access to a separate VIP bar and gaming table, and runners to supply drinks and food. The event will be held at the Grey Rock Mansion at 400 Grey Rock Road in Pikesville. Maryland Sings to hold Christmas on Main Street

Maryland Sings is hosting a free holiday musical event, Christmas on Main Street, at the Reisterstown United Methodist Church at 246 Main Street in Reisterstown Dec. 13. The event will include performances by a wide variety of groups, including the Children's Chorus of Carroll County, The Chancel Singers of R.U.M.C., the Johnson Male Chorus and Maryland Sings. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 4 p.m. Canned food items will be collected at the event to benefit the Reisterstown Food Pantry. For more information, call 410-526-7241.

BCPL to host author for discussion, book signing

The Baltimore County Public Library will host Carine McCandless, author of "The Wild Truth" for a discussion and book signing Dec. 2.
