JCS to host film screening and panel discussion

Jewish Community Services, in partnership with JQ Baltimore and Keshet, is hosting a screening of the film "Straightlaced" at 1 p.m. Oct. 25.

The screening will be held at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills Jewish Community Center.

After the film will be a panel discussion with Rabbi Gila Ruskin from Temple Adas Shalom, Vera Kurlantzik, president of Mindful For You, medical social worker Jill Hollander, and George Washington University student Gidon Feer. "Straightlaced" explores the pressures surrounding gender and sexuality in America and how teens are confined because of them.

The program is part of the JCS Parent Discussion Series which addresses various challenges of parenthood from infancy to young adulthood.
