Maryland residents who wish to vote on Election Day in November must register to do so by Oct. 18.
Voters can register online at the Maryland State Board of Elections website up until 9 p.m. They can also print an application from the website and mail it to their local board of elections or the state board. The application must be postmarked by Oct. 18.
Applications can be completed in person at these locations:
•Offices for students with disabilities at all Maryland colleges and universities
Registration is allowed during early voting, too. Voters must take a document that proves where they live, such as a driver's license, bank statement, utility bill or government document, to an early-voting center in their county.
