The renowned Kenyan Boys Choir performed at Baltimore’s City Hall today.
City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young, in partnership with the nonprofit WE.org, hosted the East African choir from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the rotunda in City Hall.
In 2009, the choir performed at the inauguration ceremony of President Barack Obama. Its visit to Baltimore’s City Hall is part of the WE Day 2018 Spring Tour, which features visits in cities across the U.S. and UK.
“Baltimore is in for a real treat of a performance from members of this world-renowned choir,” Young said in a statement prior to the performance. “I have followed the Kenyan Boys Choir for years and I’m thrilled that Baltimore will get a chance to experience them first-hand during the U.S. leg of their goodwill tour.”
