A Texas congressman is holding a Washington, D.C. fundraiser Wednesday night for Maryland attorney general hopeful Bill Frick.
Rep. Joaquin Castro, a freshman Democrat, will host what's being billed as an "intimate" evening with Frick at a Gordon Biersch, where tickets will go for between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars, according to people familiar with the event.
Castro has been a friend of Frick since they attended Harvard Law School together. He is the twin brother of San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who gave the keynote address at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
Frick, a Montgomery County state delegate, has been raising money for the attorney general race but has yet to formally launch his campaign.
