Maryland Democrats are scheduled to meet today in Annapolis for a strategy session to dissect the Nov. 4 election -- and how to avoid a repeat performance in 2016.

The meeting, which was called by Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, comes nearly two weeks after Republican Larry Hogan beat Democratic Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown in the gubernatorial election. Mikulski is up for reelection in 2016.

The discussion, closed to the public and aides, is expected to focus on the party's financial situation and the possibility of a change in leadership at the state party.
