What Martin O'Malley said during last night's Democratic debate

Martin O'Malley was one of five presidential candidates on stage Tuesday night in a Democratic debate in Las Vegas.

On Baltimore policing: "Look, none of this is easy. None of us has all the answers. But together as a city, we saved a lot of lives. It was about leadership. It was about principle. And it was about bringing people together."

On Edward Snowden: "Whistleblowers do not run to Russia."

In repsonse to Bernie Sanders who said O'Malley has not been in the U.S. Congress: "Well, maybe that's a healthy thing."

On Syria: "I think we have to play a long game."

In closing: "I truly believe that we are standing on the threshold of a new era of American progress. We need to speak to the goodness within our country."
