O'Malley warms up for presidential announcement

WASHINGTON -- Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, widely expected to announce his presidential campaign in Baltimore on Saturday, hinted at his intentions with a video in which he plays "Hail to the Chief" on a guitar.

The video shows O'Malley, the longtime frontman of an Irish rock band, humming as he tunes the guitar and then strumming the opening notes of the presidential anthem. He then nods and the video cuts to a black background with the words "stay tuned" in white.

O'Malley, the former two-term governor and mayor of Baltimore, is expected to announce his campaign in Federal Hill Park on Saturday, becoming the third candidate to seek the Democratic nomination behind former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
