O'Malley to return to Iowa

WASHINGTON -- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, who is laying the groundwork for a potential presidential campaign in 2016, will return to Iowa this weekend to support Democratic candidates running in this year's midterm elections.

O'Malley will campaign for U.S. Senate candidate Bruce Braley -- who is running in a competitive race to succeed retiring Sen. Tom Harkin -- as well as Rep. Dave Loebsack, who is seeking a fifth term in the House of Representatives.

The trip is O'Malley's fourth this year to the first-in-the-nation nominating state.

The governor, who has significantly stepped up his travel ahead of the midterms, will also deliver a keynote address Saturday at the annual Founders' Day Dinner of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.
