Gov. Martin O'Malley and Rep. Joaquin Castro, a Texas congressman seen as a rising star in Democratic circles, will share a stage Thursday night at an annual fundraiser for Maryland's party faithful.
O'Malley, term-limited and weighing a 2016 bid for president, will be the keynote speaker at the Maryland Democratic Party's fundraising gala in Prince George's County, the organization announced Monday.
Castro, whose appearance was announced a month ago, will be the guest speaker. Organizers expect a crowd of 700 people at the event.
