On Monday, Rachel Yamagata (whom you may have heard sing on Jason Mraz and Conor Oberst songs) performs at Rams Head on Stage ($23.50).
On Friday, rising rapper Dom Kennedy performs at Baltimore Soundstage ($15/$17). Fun fact: Rich Hil, son of Tommy Hilfiger, will sing about drugs beforehand. b hosts the '90s dance party Shoop! at Rams Head Live ($10/$13). Reckless Fest — featuring Asking Alexandria — comes to Sonar ($27/$30). Splintered Sunlight plays the 8x10 ($12). Patti LaBelle performs Friday and Saturday nights at the Music Center at Strathmore (available ticket info here).
On Saturday, the independently successful Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller performs at the Patriot Center ($25-$35). The Cool Kids and the Come Ups will perform before Mac.
On Sunday, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band play a sold-out show at Verizon Center. Cloud Nothings, a Cleveland indie rock band with one of the year's best albums ("Attack on Memory"), headline the Ottobar ($10). I interviewed lead singer Dylan Baldi in the middle of his six-hour trek to Toronto last week. Expect the story to hit this blog soon. Blue October plays Rams Head Live ($25).
