Mapping Martin O'Malley's travel

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley announced his presidential campaign in Baltimore on Saturday, and then immediately hit the campaign trail.

The two-term governor and former Baltimore mayor has been racking up airline miles for months, sometimes at a dizzying pace. That effort will only grow more intense in the months leading up to the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary in February.

O'Malley is set to visit both Iowa and New Hampshire this weekend, according to news reports. It will be his first travel since formally entering the race.

To keep tabs on where O'Malley is spending his time and resources, The Baltimore Sun is launching a new travel tracker today. The map catalogs O'Malley's travel dating back to 2013, and will be updated with his future trips.
