Although he doestn't officially take office until noon today, Gov.-elect Larry Hogan already spent his first night in the governor's mansion.
"It's going to take some getting used to," Hogan told reporters this morning. "It's like living in a museum, really."
When he woke up, he said he turned to his wife, Yumi, and they repeated an exchange they had on the morning after Hogan's upset win in November.
"I called her first lady, and she called me governor," he said.
Hogan said "it was an incredible feeling" to see the dome of the historic Annapolis State House framed in his bedroom window, the building draped with flags and awaiting his speech later today.
He offered little detail about his speech, but said it offer "a broad vision for the future, a positive hopeful, message for the state."
"We're going to do our best for the people of Maryland," Hogan said. "I'm hoping to put Maryland on a new path and really change Maryland for everyone."
