Gov. Martin O'Malley will travel to four states within the next month as part of an aggressive campaign to promote Democratic candidates for office, an aide said Thursday.
O'Malley, term-limited and considering a presidential bid in 2016, will hit states that are also important in building a nationwide campaign - Florida, Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
O'Malley will also head to New York City for a panel discussion at the New School to tout Maryland's progress.
"Governor O'Malley has been asked by candidates across the country to campaign on their behalf and provide an example of what results-oriented leadership looks like," O'Malley spokeswoman Lis Smith said. "His primary focus is on electing more Democratic governors and October will kick off an aggressive campaigning schedule to make sure that happens."
