Former Maryland governor and possible presidential candidate Martin O'Malley was the subject of another laugh line on late night television -- this time for his efforts to reduce crime.

"One of the potential challengers to Hillary Clinton is former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, whose big claim to fame was reducing the spread of crime back when he was the mayor of Baltimore," Jimmy Fallon said during his "Tonight Show" monologue on Tuesday.

"Or, as Americans are saying today, 'mmm, what else you got?'"

The violence that erupted in the city in recent days was the subject of several jokes on the show. Fallon suggested the best way businesses in the city could keep themselves safe from looters would be to "put a big Radio Shack sign" out front.

O'Malley cut short a speaking tour in Ireland to return to Baltimore this week. On Tuesday he showed up at a community meeting in West Baltimore. He was heckled by two men who blamed the recent violence on his tough-on-crime policies during his time as mayor, according to a report in The Washington Post.
