Roger Katzenberg is second place winner for his photo of a fountain at the FDR Memorial in Washington, D.C. Katzenberg used a Nikon D7100 at 1/13 shutter speed and lens at 36mm. Perna comments, "Although the shutter speed is slower than the rate the water is falling, it's closer to the rate speed of the water than that in Braman's photo. For this reason, the water has a stiff rather than a soft look. Both photographers have interpreted the scene in their unique way by their choice of a slow shutter speed. The elements that make Katzeznberg's image very graphic are the contrast between the shadows and highlights and the 3 repetitive forms of the waterfall."
