Jennifer Walsh is runner-up for her detail of water flowing over rocks shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T1i, 20mm lens at f8, 1/13 sec. and ISO 100. Perna says, "The hard edges of the rock contrast with the soft flow of water created by the slow shutter speed. Cropping slightly to eliminate the hot spot at the upper left would make the image stronger. The first- and second- place winners illustrate different ways to use a wide angle lens. The 1st place photo gets the overview; the second place photo goes in close for the detail."
